Cheese Stuffed Garlic Knots
Garlic knots are a wonderful treat that you can enjoy at any time of the year. As a favorite to go alongside pizza and pasta, cheese stuffed garlic knots are actually much easier than you might think to create. Here is a simple guide on how you can start to create double garlic knots at home:
- ½ cup of olive oil
- 2 tbs garlic powder
- 4 full cloves of garlic chopped fine
- 1 tbs of dried parsley
- 1 tsp of salt
- Provolone cheese (Powder not fresh grated)
- 8 oz of pizza dough
Powdered cheese often works the best for this recipe as freshly grated cheese can often burn in the oven. Start by preheating your oven to 350° and mix together all the ingredients but the dough into a consistency that is close to a pancake batter. Add in the Parmesan as needed and let the ingredients settle before you start stirring.
Shape the dough into a smaller rectangle. Cut these down into 1 ounce strips and keep them from stretching out. Each dough strip needs to be kept shorter and stalky. They should never be over 10 inches. Tie the dough into loose knots towards the middle.
